Updated: Jun 14, 2018

Do you struggle with new and exciting ways to make your message memorable to children?Next generation super heroes, don’t fret! Making your message memorable has never been more important and more easy. Try these tips to create a message that’s sure to stick in the hearts and minds of the children you minister to.

Pray

Pray!!! It’s such an easy concept but it can be just as easy to forget this meaningful and simple idea while we are preparing our messages. Praying helps us to set our hearts on God and aren’t we in the business of drawing hearts to him anyway. Why not get our own hearts ready first as we prepare lessons for the purposes of reaching the next generation for him. Prayer is also a way we can actively invite God into our lessons to have his way. Don’t forget this one truth…The Power of Prayer AMAZING. Looking for a creative angle to your lesson? Why not go to the creator of the universe for some pointers. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Utilize the resources around you

Regardless of the size of your church and the budget you’re working with if any, there are a variety of resources you could use to help bring your message to life and create memorable moments that lasts far beyond Sunday. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make your message memorable. See that old water pot in the garage? Maybe that’s just the prop you need to teach your kids about growing in him. And that’s totally free! Scope out the premises and don’t be afraid to ask for help. There are people around you who are dying to help you and who would be more than willing to loan out their own resources if not donate them to your cause all together.

Be willing to do something you’ve never done!

Congrats! You are apart of the coolest ministry in the world. So sit back, relax, and be willing to do something you’ve never done. Be creative and think outside the box. Embrace your wow factor and just go for it! Children’s Ministry is not for the prideful so don’t be afraid to get a little wacky. Kids love that and it keeps them on the edge of their seats wanting more. And you’re going to be there to give it to them. How awesome is that! So be empowered Kidmin extraordinaire! Remember you can do this, you got this, and you were made for this!
